Since we’ve began school, Dan and I have kinda had a hard time with the administration at AMFI. In other words, they are the most unorganized school I have ever attended. Even worse than Ryerson. Actually, AMFI is so bad they make Ryerson look like the most advanced university in the world.
Today, there was a light at the end of the tunnel! We are now finally in the right courses!! Originally, AMFI had put us in Block 2 which included textiles and patternmaking. Dan and I are both communication students, and everyone at Ryerson knows that the two courses communication students hate the most are textiles and patternmaking. Block 2 was just not going to do.
Now, after a week of fighting with AMFI, Dan and I are in Block 5! YEAH!! We will be taking courses such as macro economics, law, financial analysis and strategic product management. This is going to be a great school year, I can tell.
Our accommodations are much like our school. Fortunately, Dan and I were placed in the right rooms. Unfortunately, we have been experiencing major key problems. Yesterday, Dan spent all day waiting in his room for the maintenance guy to show up. Dan was unable to lock his apartment door because the door had warped and the lock was broken. The maintenance man said he would come at 10:15 am.
At midnight, I returned to my apartment to find a brand new lock on my apartment door with a brand new key! My lock was never broken. Dan still had no new lock, nor new key.
At 8am this morning, Dan’s lock was finally fixed. Apparently the maintenance man had forgotten about the appointment on the previous day. But, everything managed to work out for us today! We celebrated with sushi (which they call zushi here). Tonight we will party it up with Linda and Heidi.

Just soon across the English Channel/North Sea,
