The week before Dan and I left for "the best trip of our lives" we made sure to spend as much time as possible with all of our friends in Diemen. Here are some photos of us having fun, as usual.
It was Renske's birthday. She is another fellow flatmate of Linda, Vinny, Heidi and Sunna (the bule building girls) so we partied it up in their kitchen once again.

Dan and Janna were there to celebrate.

Heidi showed off her wicked ear tatoo. I'm jealous I didn't think of it first.

Linda was only there for my Grams' cookies. That's right, my Grams shipped me cookies half way around the world. If that's not love, I don't know what is. I thought it would be a nice gesture to share with everyone, but within 30 mins, all the cookies were gone. All thirty of the people who showed up swear they were the best they've ever had. Way to go Grams!

This is Iva (left) and her friend from school. Iva is a fellow student at AMFI and she lives across the hall from me.

Ralph was there too! For those who didn't get to hear about Ralph when I first moved here, he was my roomate who left because apparently it was too loud on our floor. Ironically, he was placed on the same floor as the girls in the blue building. I wish him luck. Now I have a new roomate, Margaux. Today was her birthday and she turned 21. We have fun together.

During the week, Dan and I had a chance to visit the market. We came across this really neat Coca Cola chair. Dan immediately pulled out his camera and ordered me to take a picture of it for my dad. So I did. This one's for you, Daddy!
(Now that Dan and I are practically best friends, we know everything about each other, so obviously he knows how much my dad loves Coca Cola stuff)

Here is a rare sight. I also found some time to cook dinner before we left. Dan and I came up with the best pasta ever! It had shrimp and peppers and pesto and tomato sauce. It was surprisingly delicious, so don't knock it before you've tried it.

The night before we left, Linda came over to say goodbye. She lent me her small suitcase since I forgot my camping backpack in London and I didn't think my extra extra large suitcases were going to cut it, you know, being a "backpacker" and all.

Then Dan cut my hair.

Dan has actually worked in a salon in Banff so I trusted him completely. It has been quiet stressful over here without my regular hairdresser or ethestician. . . but that's another story. In the end, he did a fantastic job. Dan's a pro.
** "Brie and Dan's Best Trip Ever: Barcelona" Part 1 coming soon**
i knew you wouldn't travel anywhere without your personal hairstylist...
can't wait to see the rest of the pictures
love you
I do think Ralph is a Robot. Since he moved out, the girls said they have only seen him once! They have never seen him eat, he doesn't make any noise, and he kinda talks like a robot too. So, he is a robot. . .
Love you!!
he doesn't need the food at all, it was just a decoy so you wouldn't notice him recharging!
